Dr. Kelly Rew

Born in Illinois, and raised in Tampa, FL. Dr. Rew grew up close to her Grandparents who bred Shetland Sheepdogs. There are quite a few home videos of her with the puppies where she can be heard saying, "I'm going to be a doggy doctor when I grow up". Needless to say, she followed through on this childhood dream and pursued her passion throughout her younger years. Throughout her Middle and Highschool years, she spent her spare time working at a barn and competing as an equestrian hunter jumper. During her undergraduate studies, she worked at a small animal hospital and volunteered at an equine veterinary practice.

Dr. Rew received both her undergraduate and her Veterinary Degree from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). Upon graduating in 2009, she moved to Amelia Island and spent 11 years working for Fernandina Beach Animal Clinic, a small animal practice. She joined Palm City Animal Medical Center in January, 2022 with Dr. Sentell and his team to serve the local community.

Dr. Rew loves the diversity being a small animal veterinarian provides. Being able to care for a pet from their visit visit to their last an developing those family relationships during that time is something she finds incredibly special and unique to the profession.

In her spare time, Dr. Rew enjoys spending time with her family, as well as their two dogs, Kasey and Zoey, and their cat, Stitch. She loves running, lifting weights, being outdoors, cooking, and genuinely enjoying all that life has to offer.

"When I look into the eyes of an animal, I do not see an animal. I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul." I am honored to work in a profession where every day I have the ability to provide care for these animals and the people who love them.
